A 3-prong pocket folder is a versatile organizational tool combining a two-pocket folder with metal fasteners to secure three-hole punched papers.
A 3-prong folder is used by opening the metal fasteners inside the center spine, inserting three-hole punched papers, and folding the prongs over to lock the documents in place.
A standard 3-prong folder typically holds between 70 and 100 sheets of 20# bond letter-size paper. While the prongs specifically secure 40–50 sheets, the addition of two inner pockets allows for a higher total capacity. Some heavy-duty options may hold up to 150 sheets.
