A hang tag is a branded label, primarily used to enhance the packaging of apparel, packaged goods, and display products. These are printed with useful information about the product and utilized as a creative marketing tool.
We provide only a 100 MOQ of hang tags to get started with OXO Packaging. While we encourage you to place a bulk order to avail discounted rates for custom hang tags.
Most tags use a 3/16" drilled hole set 1/4" from the top edge, which fits string, elastic loops and tag-gun barbs. If you want a metal grommet, the hole is 1/4". We mark the hole on your proof so you can check nothing important sits under it.
14pt–16pt is fine for a tag that is read once and thrown away. For apparel and anything handled on a rack, 18pt–24pt stays flat and feels like a brand cared. Luxury tags go to 32pt and beyond using duplexed board. Thinner than 14pt curls and looks cheap next to the product.
Standard tags ship in 8–10 business days after proof approval, plus transit. Foil, embossing, custom die-cut shapes and pre-stringing add a few days. Tell us your in-hand date when you request a quote and we will say whether it is realistic before you order.
Yes, if the barcode is the same on every tag, or if you need a small number of versions (for example S, M, L, XL). Send each version as its own file; short version runs are ganged on one sheet and priced as one job. For a unique barcode on every tag (variable data), ask us first.
